In 1845, they selected the first Tuesday in November as Election Day. They chose Tuesday because most residents had to travel significant distance to vote and Monday would not be reasonable because people need to begin travelling on Sunday. November 1st is All Saints day as well.
My elected officials are Barack Obama as the president, Joe Biden as vice president, and Elizabeth Warren as our senator, and Nikki T. Tsongas.
