The great journey through lowell

October 7th, 2014

My mom drove me to schol at 7:00am. On my way to school i saw trees with the beginning of colors starting to change to orange yellow and red. I saw a park, known as Kitteradge Park, it looked kind of like a fairytale entrance. As i got closer to lowell high school i saw City Hall, and i wanted to know what time it was so i looked up at the big clock on City Hall. The next thing  i saw was the LHS flagpole, or my destination.

Today i found out some bad news, i have a concussion. My day was spent sitting on my couch, wasn't much of a journey but it was something. The doctor told me i had to do nothing. What is doing nothing anyway? I decided to do something and watch a few movies. i couldn't watch anything scary or to loud, so what should i watch? Out of all the movies on netflix, probably about 400 movies to choose from, i chose one… finding memo! Not to loud OR to scary.

My aunt Jennifer called my sister and I on this beautiful fall day. My sister came back from college to stay with me, so my aunt figured this was the perfect time to go! She either wanted to go to Sullivan Farms or Kimballs, we chose Kimballs of course, only because i hadn't been there in ages. It was just starting o be fall, the leaves were changing and the air, as i was eating my ice cream i noticed all these weather changes.

It would be very difficult to keep a journal every day. Its hard to keep track of everything and every little weather detail or describing things in writing. Maybe every once and a while i could keep one but everyday i couldn't do that, it makes my head hurt. I don't think i would enjoy keeping a journal, i don't look outside to much so it takes effort.

The War of 1812 and SSB

The War Of 1812

The war of 1812 was fought for many reasons.
It was between the United Sates and the people of the British Empire.
Most importantly they had a desire to expand into the Northwest Territory, and trade because of Britians ongoing war, they thought it would be the right time.
They also destroyed Britians Indian allies both in Canada and the Southwest.

The Result of the war was that the United states gained respect at home and in Europe. The English influence ended in the Northwest Territory. After this war American citizens showed more pride and respect towards their country. They were much more patriotic, Americans were united people and one nation, fought as one. Nationalism was this result, one of the most important that we have today.

The star spangled banner is our national anthem for the United States.
The national anthem was written by a famous auther as we know of Franscis Scott Key after witnessing the bombart at Fort Mchenry.
Later it became known as the American patriotic anthem. Also, it let americans with pride, and being United as one whole.

Verse:
O say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming?

Can you see the light after night?
Having pride at the nights last burst of light,
Our flag, waving while the fight is occuring,
Even the bombs going off, our flag is still there and shining bright!

Death Penalty-They wondered if he was eligible for the death penalty, they debated.
Massachusetts doesn't support the death penalty, but they tried for Dzhokar. Until they get further notice, the death penalty will be hard to win the case, they will wait until more facts are revealed about the case.

Tsarnaev and his brother, went way past the law in our world. Guns, we are the fourth- strictest about the law enforced about guns. They illegelly had them, they were unregistered guns. With these guns they assaulted an MIT officer, and also other law enforcers. They took the use of guns to the next level, it is a strict law.

Security camera before bombing

Privacy, taken advantage of as well. Security cameras were replayed, and now privacy is a big factor in the world because of the incident. It has been brought to the supreme court, and the 4th amendment,relates a lot to the privacy violation.
